Chapter Overview

The Charlotte Area Chapter of the Florida A&M University National Alumni Association was chartered in 1993. The chapter is a part of the FAMU NAA Southern Region.

Chapter Purpose

The purpose of the Chapter and its membership is to enhance and support the continued existence of Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University

(Florida A&M University), as a subsidiary of the Association, by:

  • Raising/donating funds to Florida A&M University that will support its programs

  • Recruiting students that will attend the University and support their matriculation

  • Recruiting alumni and others that will support the University and its goals through membership in the Association

  • Engaging in activities that perpetuate a positive image of the Association and the University

  • Influencing communities and governmental activities that support the University’s priorities
